LANGUAGE CHALLENGES 

Answer next questions (explain your answers).

1. In how many different languages can you greet someone?

I can greet in six languages: basque(kaixo), spanish(hola), english(hello), frech(bonjouor), german(halo), japanese(konishiwa)

2. In how many different languages can you count from 1 to 10 ?

I can count from 1 to 10 in basque, spanish, english, french and italian.

3. Can you write your name in different alphabets (such as Greek or Cyrillic)

No I can't because I only know our alphabet.

4. Identify 5 words in your language that are the same in other languages:

Pizza, internet, blog, bota, baguette.

5. Identify 3 words in your language that mean different things in other languages (false friends!).

Our language is basque but we don't know any false friends, so we've thought about three spanish-englis false friends.

 PLAGUE: peste

 PEST: plaga    

 PRESERVATIVE: conservante

6. Have you ever read a comic book in a foreign language? And a book?

Yes, I have read it in english and french.

7. Who is the person you know who speaks more languages and discovered why he/she speaks so many. 
My sister, she is able to speak 5 lenguages: Basque, Spanish, English, French and Japanese. She knows the first four ones since she was a child, and she has learnt the last one this year because she has gone to Japan with erasmus. 

8. Have you ever memorized a song in another language?
Yes, the song Dreams of Cramberriers.

9. Have you ever switched the language of your phone or tablet to a foreign language?
Yes, it was in Japanese and I switched it to english.

10. Do you listen to a radio station in a foreign language?
No, I just listen to EiTB irratia.

11. Do you change to original version when watching documentaries, sports or films on tv?
Yes, but sometimes I try to watch them in their original version.

12. Do you know any joke in a foreign language?
No, I don't.
13. When on holiday in another country, have you ever used the language of the country to greet people, order food or perform other everyday tasks?
Yes, of course. 

14. What do you dare to do in a foreign language?
I try to speak with foreign people and I sometimes try to watch films in other lenguages.
