LANGUAGE CHALLENGES   Answer next questions (explain your answers). 1. In how many different languages can you greet someone? I can greet in six languages: basque(kaixo), spanish(hola), english(hello), frech(bonjouor), german(halo), japanese(konishiwa) 2. In how many different languages can you count from 1 to 10 ? I can count from 1 to 10 in basque, spanish, english, french and italian. 3. Can you write your name in different alphabets (such as Greek or Cyrillic) No I can't because I only know our alphabet. 4. Identify 5 words in your language that are the same in other languages: Pizza, internet, blog, bota, baguette. 5. Identify 3 words in your language that mean different things in other languages (false friends!). The 26th of September we celebrated the International day of lenguages in our school. We shared some papers which had different activities in different lenguages to students of DBH. We did that in their break. When they finished the activities they had to leave the paper in a box that was on the entrance of the school.       

I would really like to go on an exchange program, not only because I would enjoy making new friends, but also because it would be a good opportunity to practice our english. I would like to go to England for example, because they would speak very good in english. I think that I would learn new things such us their habits and culture.

I have come up with an idea of going to the classes of DBH and playing a game which consists in writing words in the board in different lenguages and guessing in which lenguages they are written. The group that guesses the most ammount of words, will win the game. The lesson must be in English. We will write these words:  -AU REVOIR: bye   -SI US PLAU: por favor - 你好(ni hao): hello  -SORELLA: hermana  - شكرا (shukraan): thank you  -KARTOFFEL: potato  - солнце(solntse): sun

Nowadays audiovisuals are one of the most important things in our daily lifes.  But, woud we be able to continue with our lifes if we didn't have this type of resources? We are surrounded by technology but I think that it is possible to live without it even if it brings us a lot of benefits. It has to be mentioned that we wouldn't be able to  do things that we do without the help of audiovisuals like watching films, chat with friends, surf on the internet... In conclusion, I can't help thinking that althought audiovisuals sometimes make our lifes easier, they are not as necesary as we think they are.
